When seventeen-year-old Rowan Vale inherits his late brother’s battered laptop, he finds a half-finished file full of anonymous messages, unsent apologies and one name he was never meant to see. Trying to work out what his brother was hiding pulls Rowan into a mess of grief, old loyalties and small-town rumours that keep changing shape. The more he edits the story into something neat, the less true it becomes.
