First draft
In a city where certain rooms keep the emotional weather of everyone who has lived in them, a weary book formatter named Mara is hired to map the silence inside empty buildings before they are demolished. The work should be simple, but each room begins to hold onto fragments of memory that do not belong to it, and one of them seems to be waiting for her. As the maps grow stranger, Mara has to decide whether to preserve what is fading or let the city forget on purpose.
