Every evening, seventeen-year-old Elin keeps the tide chart for her grandmother’s house on the Gower coast, because the old place only stays safe while the sea is out. When a hidden room beneath the kitchen begins filling with saltwater that should not be there, Elin finds a ledger of names tied to the town’s missing memories. To keep her family home from being claimed by the sea, she has to work out what the house was built to hide, and why the coast seems to remember her better than she remembers herself.
