In a city built on the edge of a sleeping volcano, sixteen-year-old Mara Venn discovers that the maps she restores in her uncle’s archive can change the routes people remember. When a damaged royal chart starts erasing whole districts from official record, Mara is pulled into a quiet conspiracy where names, streets and loyalties can be revised out of existence. She has to decide how much of the city, and herself, is worth saving when the truth is easier to bury than to preserve.
