When a small independent bookshop in Derry begins receiving anonymous notes hidden inside returned novels, the owner assumes it is a prank until one of the messages points to a missing local woman who vanished years earlier. As she starts tracing the clues through old stock, damaged records and the shop's regular customers, she realises someone is using the bookshop to steer her toward a truth that was never meant to surface.
