When a small Portsmouth community radio station starts airing anonymous messages that seem to predict local scandals, a freelance copy editor with a habit of noticing what other people miss gets dragged into the mess. She would rather be left alone with her red pen, but the station’s volunteers, rival broadcasters and one very inconvenient body make that difficult. The deeper she looks, the more the broadcasts seem tied to an old grievance that never really went away.
