The Salt Road Cartographer
In the winter of 1847, a disgraced mapmaker is sent to survey a little-known coastal route through the salt marshes of East Anglia, where smugglers, surveyors and old loyalties all seem to be drawing different maps of the same ground. When a wrecked packet ship washes ashore with a sealed ledger no one will claim, he is pulled into a chase that turns a routine commission into a matter of survival.
