The House at Black Quarry
When a damp, half-abandoned house on the edge of a former quarry is bought for renovation, the work uncovers a pattern of sealed rooms, old soot marks, and names scratched into plaster. The house seems to keep returning the same details in different places, as if it is arranging the past for someone to notice. The people involved begin to realise the building is not haunted in any ordinary sense, but occupied by something that remembers too much.
