Seventeen-year-old Niamh Byrne spends her evenings helping out in her mother’s fading bookshop in Cork, where the rent is late, the stock is old, and every decision seems to have a consequence. When she finds a set of anonymous notes tucked into returned books, she starts tracing them through the shop’s regulars and into her own family’s careful silences.
