The House at the End of the Laundry Line
After moving into a neglected tenement flat in Glasgow, Mara finds that the shared laundry room is used by something that leaves other people's missing clothes hanging up dry and neatly folded. As she starts tracing the building's history, she learns the house has been keeping its dead tenants in a very practical kind of order. The trouble is that it has noticed her, and it is getting better at making itself at home.
