Early draft
When a former library assistant takes a temporary job cataloguing the abandoned records of St. Brigid’s, a decaying convent-turned-care-home on the edge of Limerick, she finds that some of the files have been rewritten by hand in a different, older voice. The house is full of locked rooms, missing names, and residents who seem to remember events that never happened, or happened to someone else. As she follows the paper trail, she realises St. Brigid’s has been arranging its own history, and it has chosen her to finish the work.
