When a meticulous book designer is forced to collaborate with the infuriatingly charming author whose manuscript she has been quietly fixing for months, the result is less a tidy creative partnership than a slow-motion disaster. Set in Canterbury’s small publishing world, the story follows two people who are very good at noticing flaws and terrible at admitting what they want. The romance is complicated by deadlines, bad assumptions and the fact that neither of them can resist a well-placed argument.
