The House Index
After a Dublin cataloguer is hired to sort the records of a long-demolished boarding house, she finds that the missing rooms still exist in the paperwork, and in a few people’s memories, as if the building refuses to stay gone. The deeper she edits and cross-checks the archive, the more the house seems to rewrite the lives of everyone tied to it, including her own.
