The Last Borrowed Book
When a rare local history volume goes missing from a small Welsh library during a winter storm, assistant librarian Elin Rhys expects a tedious paperwork headache, not a murder inquiry. The missing book seems to connect several people in the town, each with a reason to want its contents hidden. As Elin follows the trail through reading rooms, back rooms and old grudges, she realises the real secret is not in the book itself but in what it was used to conceal.
