The Lanterns of Hollowmere
In the flooded village of Hollowmere, sixteen-year-old Mara Vale discovers that the lanterns hung along the riverbank are not for light but for holding back the dead. When one goes out, the boundary between the living and the drowned begins to fail. As the water rises and the village starts forgetting its own history, Mara has to decide what should be saved: the town, or the truth it was built on.
