In a near-future Belfast, a municipal archive begins to preserve not just records but the small acts people would rather forget, and a document formatter who has spent years making other people’s lives legible is asked to help keep it running. As the archive starts to surface omissions in a long-closed housing dispute, she has to decide whether accuracy is a kind of mercy or just another way of reopening old damage.
