In 1893, a widowed postmistress in a small Galway coastal town discovers a bundle of undelivered letters that expose old betrayals and a very inconvenient truth about the man she has spent years avoiding. When the town's new schoolmaster begins helping her trace the missing correspondence, their search turns into a slow, uneasy partnership that neither of them can quite afford. The deeper they go, the more it becomes clear that some apologies arrive too late, and some arrive exactly on time.
