First draft
When a young archival cataloguer is sent to sort a private library in a decaying west Cork house, she finds that several rooms on the estate are missing from the plans, and that the household keeps speaking about them as if they were a family embarrassment rather than a physical fact. As she works through ledgers, letters and half-burned inventories, the house begins to rearrange its own history, and the people inside it start forgetting which version of events they are meant to survive.
