In a city where every public sound is automatically archived, edited, and sold back as licensed memory, a transcript technician starts finding missing minutes in the record. The gaps point to people who have been erased from the civic archive, and to a system that is quietly rewriting who is allowed to have a past. As she follows the omissions, she has to decide whether preserving the truth means making it audible again.
