First draft
On a chain of half-forgotten trade routes, a mapmaker who specialises in orbital traffic discovers that several inhabited systems have been quietly edited out of navigation records. To put the missing worlds back on the charts, she has to work with smugglers, bureaucrats and a very patient archive machine that remembers more than people do. The closer she gets, the clearer it becomes that the erased systems were not lost by accident.
