First draft
When a late-night fire at a Belfast branch library kills a retired records clerk, librarian Orla Keane finds that the dead man had been hiding a set of altered loan records. The trail leads into old disappearances, a private security firm, and a careful lie that has been sitting in plain sight for years. Orla has to decide whether the library is a place that keeps people safe, or one that has been used to keep secrets.
