The Last Stop at Briar Lane
Sixteen-year-old Mara is spending the summer helping her mother clear out the flat above a shut-down café, where every drawer seems to contain someone else's unfinished life. When she finds a stack of letters addressed to a girl who never came back, Mara starts tracing the story through bus routes, old messages and the people who remember just enough to be inconvenient. What begins as a small local mystery turns into a reckoning with what gets left behind, and who gets to decide when a story is finished.
