When a cautious paperback designer is asked to rescue a failing independent bookshop with a disastrous rebrand, she expects arguments about fonts, not feelings. The shop's owner, a stubborn former bookseller who wants everything done properly and nothing done quickly, keeps undermining her plans while making the place harder to leave. Between late-night stock rearranging, a local campaign to save the shop, and one very inconvenient attraction, both of them have to decide what kind of future they actually want.
