The Cartographer of Ash
When a disgraced mapmaker discovers that certain roads are vanishing from the kingdom, he is forced to follow the gaps before they swallow whole towns. His only guide is a sharp-tongued courier who knows the old routes, the hidden tolls, and the cost of being wrong. The journey turns into a race to stop an ancient boundary from being redrawn by something that does not care who gets lost.
