The House at Blackwater Close
When Mara Ellwood returns to a crumbling house on the edge of a Devon marsh to clear out her estranged aunt’s belongings, she finds rooms that seem to change when no one is looking and recordings of voices no living person should know. The house was built to keep something out, but it may also have been built to keep something in. Mara has to decide whether the place is haunted, or whether her family has been helping it stay fed for generations.
