The Salt House Beneath the Pier
When a tired archive clerk in Swansea is sent to catalogue boxes recovered from a condemned seaside boarding house, she finds letters that keep changing and names that vanish from the record overnight. The house seems to remember everyone who ever stayed there, and it is collecting the living to finish an old arrangement made with the sea. As the tide turns against her, she has to decide whether the place is haunted or simply hungry.
