The Last Borrowed Door
In Durham, a junior archivist discovers that certain old doorways can be borrowed for an hour at a time, but only if someone is willing to pay with a memory. When a string of impossible break-ins begins to erase whole parts of the city’s hidden history, she is pulled into a quiet war between the people who catalogue magic and the people who steal it. The deeper she goes, the more she suspects the safest thing in the city may be the most dangerous: a door no one remembers building.
