The House in the Salt Road
When a formatter working on a dead writer’s unfinished manuscript starts seeing the same house appear in the margins of the pages, she follows the clues to a ruined property on the edge of the Dee estuary. The house seems to remember every person who has ever lived in it, and it is not interested in being left unfinished. What begins as a search for missing context turns into a slow, ugly argument with something that wants a story badly enough to keep people inside it.
