The Salt Road
In the winter of 1812, a mapmaker’s apprentice is sent north through the Highlands to recover a lost packet of naval charts before it reaches the wrong hands. The journey turns into a test of nerve, loyalty and judgement as she is forced to rely on people she is not sure she can trust. What begins as a practical errand becomes a race through snow, coast and ruin, with history pressing in at every step.
