Early draft
In a future city where every public library has become a data archive for state-approved memory, a cataloguer discovers that some books have been quietly rewritten rather than removed. As she follows the pattern through marginal notes, damaged spines and altered borrowing records, she begins to suspect the archives are hiding a much larger act of control. What starts as a search for missing texts becomes a dangerous attempt to prove that the past has been edited on purpose.
