The Last Map of Trefelin
When sixteen-year-old Nia finds a map that only appears in library books no one has checked out for years, she discovers it points to places in her coastal town that should not exist anymore. The map seems to be tied to an old bargain between the town and the sea, and every time Nia follows it, the boundary between memory and reality gets thinner. She has to decide whether to restore what was lost, or leave the town to keep forgetting.
