When the drowned city of Sair is exposed by a shifting tide, a quiet map-restorer named Eira Vale is hired to recover a stolen chart said to lead to its buried vaults. What begins as a salvage job turns into a race through tidal tunnels, false histories and old sea magic that was never meant to surface. The deeper she goes, the less certain she becomes that the city should be found at all.
