The Cartographer of Ash
When a Glasgow-born mapmaker is hired to restore a ruined atlas that can only be read in firelight, she discovers it points to roads that should not exist. Each route leads deeper into a borderland where old kingdoms have been folded out of memory, and someone is trying to keep them buried. She has to decide whether a map should describe the world as it is, or the world as it was meant to be.
