When a meticulous paperback formatter inherits half of a cramped bookshop window display, she is forced to work beside the charmingly unreliable carpenter hired to fix the shop before a crucial local event. Their very different ideas about order, beauty and what makes a place worth saving keep colliding, even as the shop starts to feel like the one thing neither of them meant to need. As the deadline closes in, so does the uncomfortable possibility that the best version of the future might involve both of them.
