The Last Catalogue

In a future London where public libraries have become climate shelters, Mara Venn works as a catalogue editor for a city archive that keeps losing entire sections of its memory. When the missing records start pointing to people who were never officially born, she has to decide whether the archive is being damaged, censored, or quietly rewriting the city itself. The further she digs, the more she suspects the library is not preserving history so much as choosing which version survives.
