Lily Palmer writes across young adult and contemporary, with a particular interest in character, atmosphere, revision and the details that turn a manuscript into a finished book.

Early draft
Seventeen-year-old Nia Evans is meant to spend the summer fixing her mother’s old radio shop on the Swansea front, but she keeps finding half-finished messages hidden in the broken sets. When one of them points to a local music night that never quite ended the way everyone remembers, Nia starts tracing the truth through old friendships, family silences and the stubborn shape of a small coastal town. What begins as a practical repair job turns into a reckoning with who gets to keep the story of a place, and who has been edited out of it.
