The Last Stop Before Home
When eighteen-year-old Mara Quinn misses the last bus out of Chester after a disastrous shift at a bookshop, she ends up spending the night helping a stranger search the city for a missing notebook. What starts as a practical nuisance turns into a reluctant reckoning with the lies Mara has been telling her friends, her mother, and herself about what she wants next. The city is familiar, but not quite safe in the way she has always assumed.
