Behind the stories
Lewis Walker writes across fantasy and urban fantasy, with a particular interest in character, atmosphere, revision and the details that turn a manuscript into a finished book.
A book is made from hundreds of decisions nobody sees.

In Gloucester, a junior typesetter at a small press discovers that certain old books are not merely misprinted, but sealed. When one is broken open, the city’s forgotten river-magic starts leaking into the streets, and every bargain made in shadow begins to demand payment. He has to work out who built the wards, what they were hiding, and why the thing waking under the docks seems to know his name.
