When Mara Keane returns to a crumbling house on the Cork coast to clear out her dead aunt’s papers, she finds letters from women who vanished from the same place over the last century. The house seems to keep its own records, and the rooms begin to shift around Mara as if they are deciding what kind of story she is meant to be part of. What starts as an inheritance problem turns into a slow, ugly argument with the past.
