The Last House on Tide Street

When a storm-battered terrace house in Gloucester is put up for sale, its rooms begin rearranging themselves after dark, as if the building is trying to remember who lived there. A freelance copyeditor drawn into the property’s history discovers that every former occupant left behind a different version of the same missing child. The house is less haunted than occupied by an old grievance that has learned how to stay.
