The Salt Road to Oran
In 1847, a Bristol mapmaker’s daughter follows a damaged trading chart to the North African coast, where a missing cargo of salt has become a very useful lie. As she moves between ports, caravan routes and half-trusted guides, she has to decide whether the truth is worth more than the lives tied to it. The journey is as much about what she learns to leave unmarked as what she can prove.
