In Bangor, a quiet antiquarian map restorer discovers that certain damaged street maps are not records of the city but instructions for keeping it stitched together. When the oldest map in her care begins changing overnight, she is pulled into a hidden argument between the people who maintain the city’s boundaries and the things that live in the gaps. The work is part mystery, part civic haunting, with enough old paper and bad decisions to make the whole thing awkward.
