Seventeen-year-old Maya spends her evenings helping her mum sort donated books for a small Nottingham community shop, until she finds a notebook tucked inside a second-hand novel with pages full of unsent letters. Each letter seems to point toward a local boy who vanished from her school year two summers ago, and Maya starts pulling at a story everyone else has quietly decided to leave alone.
