In a near-future Belfast where private memories can be archived, edited, and rented back to the living, a cautious manuscript editor discovers that her missing brother has left something inside the city’s memory system that should not exist. As she follows the trail through libraries, housing estates, and the more awkward corners of digital afterlife, she begins to suspect the archive is less a record of lives than a way of deciding which ones count.
