In a disputed trade corridor on the edge of human space, a salvage pilot finds a derelict warship carrying a navigation system that should not exist. The ship's old route maps point toward a cluster of hidden stations built to keep a fragile peace, and every faction wants them for different reasons. As the corridor starts to fracture, she has to decide whether to expose the truth or keep the machinery of order running a little longer.
