The Last Chapter Before Closing
When a meticulous indie bookshop owner in Plymouth is told her shop may have to close for redevelopment, she agrees to host a summer series of after-hours literary events to prove the place still matters. The only person more determined than she is to save the shop is the infuriatingly practical man advising the developers, who keeps turning up with solutions that sound suspiciously like sabotage. Between late-night readings, library archives and one very inconvenient attraction, she has to decide whether saving the shop means preserving the past or risking a new future.
