The Lantern House at Blackmere
In a rain-soaked border town, Mara Vale inherits a house full of dead lanterns, locked rooms, and a ledger that records debts paid in names rather than coin. When the lanterns begin to relight on their own, she discovers the house is tied to an old bargain that kept something hungry out of the world, at a cost nobody in town wants to remember. Mara has to decide whether to keep the bargain intact or break it and face what comes back.
