When a careful archivist returns to her childhood street in Oxford to catalogue the contents of a condemned house, she finds that the building remembers the people who lived there, and not kindly. As rooms shift and voices begin to answer from behind sealed walls, she is forced to trace a pattern of disappearances that has followed the house for decades.
