When a meticulous copy editor in Limerick is asked to help rescue a failing independent bookshop, she expects damaged stock and awkward meetings, not the return of the man who once made her doubt every tidy plan she had. He has come back to town to settle an inheritance and leave again, which would be simpler if the bookshop, the family mess, and their unfinished history were not all pulling in the same direction.
