Seventeen-year-old Nell Carter spends most of her summer working late shifts at a coastal bus station in North Devon, where the timetable is always changing and so is her life. When she finds a stack of unsent letters hidden in the lost property office, she starts tracing their owners and, in the process, untangles the reasons her own family has been quietly falling apart.
